QCTO Accreditation Hub

Everything you need to get accredited — advice, forms, curriculum extraction, and your learning matrix builder.

What does QCTO accreditation actually involve?

To deliver an occupational qualification, your organisation must be accredited as a Skills Development Provider (SDP) by the relevant Quality Partner SETA. Accreditation is qualification-specific — you need separate accreditation for each occupational qualification you want to deliver.

1

Choose your qualification

Identify the occupational qualification on the SAQA register. Confirm it is active and note the Quality Partner SETA responsible for accreditation.

2

Prepare your curriculum alignment

Download the curriculum document from SAQA. Map your delivery plan to the KM, PSM, and WEC components. Use the Curriculum Extractor tab to do this automatically.

3

Complete the accreditation forms

Submit the Quality Partner SETA's application form with supporting evidence: facilitator CVs, assessor registration, premises photos, and your delivery plan.

4

Site visit readiness

Auditors will visit your premises. They assess your management systems, learner support, physical facilities, and documentation processes.

5

Decision and registration

Receive your accreditation certificate. Register learners with the Quality Partner SETA before delivery begins.

6

Maintain and renew

Accreditation must be maintained through annual monitoring visits and renewed periodically. Keep learner files audit-ready at all times.

Inala tip

The most common reason for accreditation failure is incomplete learner file systems during the site visit. Use the Learning Matrix tab to pre-structure your curriculum and evidence requirements before the auditors arrive.
